BELLY BOOK PRICE CHANGE
hello, just to update everyone on the belly book.

i've run into an issue with funding, so i had to up the price from 10.00 US to 17.00 US.

ANY donation will still be accepted but only those donations over 17.00 will receive a copy of the book.

All of the original donations of 10.00 are still valid and those contributors will still get their copy of the book.

Amanda Palmer and Bellies EVERYWHERE need YOUR help!!!
Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls has gone solo this past year.
Amanda just released her music video for "Leeds United"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYSULkXcVYwHer record label, Roadrunner Records, responded by telling amanda she was fat, and that she must re-cut the video to show less of her "belly".Amanda posted about this in her blog here,http://blog.amandapalmer.net/Since the release, her fans have been posting tons of responses in the online dresden dolls/amanda palmer forum, here,http://www.theshadowbox.net/forum/index.php?topic=6054.0Fans have begun posting pictures of their bellies in protest and support of amanda.I gave out my email address to collect these to be printed out and mailed to roadrunner's HQ.So far, in just over 48 hours i have received over 160 belly pictures, as well as countless 2-3 page emails emotionally telling of how people have been inspired by amanda and her positive body-image outlook on life.It took a lot of courage for these fans to email me their pictures and stories..And what was roadrunner's response..?  to turn this peaceful protest into a joke. They added a contest link to their site last night, saying that fans could now win a free amanda palmer "prize pack" by sending in pictures of their bellies. Basically, they have tried to mock our passion for this cause, the cause of spreading a positive body image to everyone. The contest has since been taken down, but i am still receiving tons of belly photos, that i will still be printing out and sending in.You can help bring to light the practice of "barbie-dolling" that many record labels try to do to their female artists. This isn't just about Amanda Palmer's belly. This is about all the bellies of the world: Big, small, hairy, stretch-marked, scarred, pregnant, every single belly. The aim is to reclaim the belly; To promote a healthy body image for everyone (not even just females) and to bring an end, or at least a tapering, to the "barbie dolling" of images that record companies and the media as a whole do to artists.-Jordan
